Steven M. Weisbaum, Esq.

As a family law and personal injury attorney I often represent people when they are at their most vulnerable.  At The Weisbaum Law Firm, I work to protect clients’ legal rights and their economic stability. This allows clients to focus on emotional issues that arise during a complicated divorce, or the emotional and physical issues that follow a serious injury. During difficult times people want a lawyer who can get results that work for them in court, during settlement negotiations, or at the mediation table. I have been helping clients get the best possible solutions to complex legal problems since 1991.

I focus my practice in the area of family law, including divorce, custody, support and visitation.  I was admitted to practice in Maryland in 1991 and the District of Columbia in 1993.  I graduated from Hobart College with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry in 1986 and received his Juris Doctor from the Boston University School of Law in 1991.  I am a member of the American Association for Justice, the D.C. Trial Lawyers Association, the D.C. Bar Association and the Montgomery County Bar Association.  I am the president-elect for Collaborative Dispute Resolution Professionals (CDRP), a Maryland non-profit corporation comprised of lawyers, and financial and mental health professionals, and dedicated to the resolution of civil disputes through collaborative law.
